Winston & Strawn hosted the Seventh Annual ICC New York Conference held on September 10, 2012 in New York. The conference included expert discussions on important topics such as investment treaties, distinguishing contract rights from treaty rights, and the evolving role of arbitral institutions in this context.

Winston & Strawn participated in the panel “An Institutional Perspective on Arbitration Involving State Parties.” The panel addressed developments in arbitrations involving sovereign states, discuss the ICC Court’s extensive experience handling matters involving states, and speak about the results of the ICC Commission’s study on arbitration involving state parties.
