Winston & Strawn Partners Recognized in 2014 WTR 1000 Rankings

Winston & Strawn was recognized for the fourth year in a row by the World Trademark Review (WTR) in their "WTR 1000" rankings. The World Trademark Review is an independent publication that lists the world's leading trademark attorney firms and individuals. It is the first and only standalone ranking publication focusing on trademark issues.

Winston & Strawn received a national ranking and the Chicago, New York, and California offices were recognized at the bronze level. WTR noted that the Chicago office has a “‘spectacular’ reputation in the overlapping discipline of advertising law” and featured attorney Ronald Rothstein. Mr. Rothstein is recognized as a seasoned litigator for his representation of “high-calibre companies.”

The New York office was noted as “a weighty presence in the Big Apple” with a “warmly regarded IP division.” WTR featured Michael Elkin for his substantial litigation practice and courtroom appearances. 

Winston & Strawn's California offices were recognized for “its instrumental role in supporting global brand expansion and its important guidance on emerging issues.”  The “engaged, sharp-witted and thorough,” San Francisco partner Jennifer Golinveaux made her fourth appearance on the WTR  for her know-how on prosecution and contested matters. Making her first appearance on the WTR rankings is San Francisco-based Becky Troutman. Becky regularly represents emerging and established companies in protecting and commercializing intellectual property assets.
