Winston & Strawn Named “Outstanding Firm in Advancing Gender Diversity and Inclusion” by Chambers and Partners

Winston & Strawn won the award for “Outstanding Firm in Advancing Gender Diversity and Inclusion” at the 2017 Chambers USA Women in Law Awards on June 15 in New York. Now in its sixth year, the awards set a remarkably high precedent and mark an internationally-recognized achievement of excellence in furthering women’s advancement and inclusion within the legal profession. 

In honoring Winston with this award, Chambers highlighted our great commitment to diversity and inclusion programming as well as the firm’s significant investment in our female and minority attorneys through industry-leading initiatives. These initiatives include the firm’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI), Sponsorship Initiative, and gender-neutral Parental Leave Program, and other efforts focused on the hiring, advancement, retention, and promotion of our female attorneys. 

Chambers also named Winston a 2017 Women in Law Awards finalist for “Law Firm of the Year in Promoting Flexible Working Environments and Innovative Programs for Mothers” and Chicago Office Managing Partner Linda Coberly a finalist for “Inspiring Role Model in Promoting Gender Diversity in the Legal Profession.”
