Winston & Strawn partner Joan Fife spoke at the ABA's 5th Annual Labor and Employment Law Conference on November 2-5 in Seattle, Washington.

Joan Fife was part of the wage & hour track on November 4 speaking on the panel titled, "Stay Tuned: Recent Developments in Wage and Hour Law." This panel provided up-to-the-minute updates regarding recent developments in wage and hour law at the Supreme Court and Circuit Court level, including: class-wide arbitration, retaliation protections, the fluctuating workweek, compensable time, and coverage. This panel also explored the application of the administrative exemption since the 2004 revised white collar regulations and focused on issues arising in the financial services and pharmaceutical arenas. The program moderator was Jahan Sagafi of Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein LLP. Richard Burch from Bruckner Burch PLLC,  Denise Clark of the Law Office of Denise M. Clark, and Theodora Lee of Littler Mendelson PC presented along with Ms. Fife.
