Winston Sponsors the Legal Community Against Violence’s 18th Anniversary Dinner

Winston & Strawn sponsored the Legal Community Against Violence's 18th Anniversary Dinner (LCAV) held July 14, 2011 in San Francisco. The LCAV honored Dr. Peter Rhee, the trauma surgeon who attended to Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in Tucson. Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa served as the keynote speaker at this year's event.

The LCAV is the only public interest law organization in the country devoted exclusively to providing legal assistance in support of gun violence prevention. It offers free legal assistance to public institutions and private advocacy organizations working to advance gun violence prevention measures, with a focus on laws and regulations that can be implemented at the local and state levels.
