Winston Sponsors ALM’s 8th Annual Corporate Counsel West Coast Conference

Winston & Strawn served as a sponsor of American Lawyer Media's (ALM) 8th Annual Corporate Counsel West Coast Conference held November 9-10 in San Francisco.

Winston Chairman Dan Webb presented the panel "Rapid-Response Strategies for Multi-Front Crises." This session focused on critical preparations and strategies for responding to crises in their immediate aftermath, including:

• Structuring effective contingency plans.
• Assessing priorities in the immediate wake of the crisis.
• Managing internal and external communications.
• Assembling suitable regulatory, legislative, communications, and litigation teams.
• Developing coordinated, congruous defense strategies.
• Managing the board and the relationship with senior management, employees and third-parties.
• Undertaking prompt investigations and implementing document preservation and collection policies.
• Addressing business implications, including liquidity, insurance coverage, and loss of revenues.

Winston also participated in the panel "Hot Topics in Internet Law," which focused on new developments in Internet law, with particular attention being paid to intellectual property issues.
