Winston Wins Legal Week’s British Legal Awards 2016 “M&A Team of the Year”

Winston & Strawn has been named Legal Week’s British Legal Awards 2016 “M&A Team of the Year (Medium-Sized Deal).” Winston is recognized for its representation of Motorola Solutions, Inc. on its £817.5 million acquisition of Airwave Solutions, the largest private operator of a public safety network in the world and the owner of the entire UK fire, ambulance, and emergency services communications network. “It’s a deal that affects everyone,” noted a judge.

London-based Partner Nicholas Usher led the Winston team in its representation of Motorola. 

The British Legal Awards are the leading awards for the UK’s business law community representing the achievements of the country’s most successful law firms, legal departments, and other providers in the legal services industry. Winners were announced on November 24 during an annual awards ceremony in London.
