Winston Honored at the Financial Times 2025 Innovative Lawyers North America Awards

Winston & Strawn was named as a “commended” firm in the Unlocking Capital category during the Financial Times 2025 Innovative Lawyers North America Awards, recognizing the firm’s work advising Groupon, Inc. on its US$80M fully backstopped rights offering for shares of the Company’s common stock.

Partner Keerthika Subramanian was also the only practitioner recognized as a "commended individual" in the Unlocking Capital category for her work on the transaction. 

This award is part of the publication’s annual FT Innovative Lawyers North America “best-practice case studies” series, which highlights the most innovative legal work and services developed for clients across North America over the past year. FT recognizes work in more than 15 categories, spotlighting firms and in-house teams that are digitally advanced and employ novel approaches to deliver exceptional value to business and society. Honorees are selected through a rigorous submission and evaluation process that includes interviews, questionnaires, and detailed research, with entries scored on originality, leadership, and impact.

The winners were announced at an award ceremony on December 8, 2025, in New York.
