Winston Shortlisted for Chambers Women in Law Awards: USA 2018

Winston was shortlisted for the Chambers Women in Law Awards: USA 2018 in the “Law Firm of the Year in Furthering Women’s Career Progression, Talent Management and Mentoring” category. The ceremony was held on June 21 in New York. 

Winston has implemented numerous initiatives to help the firm retain, advance, and promote female lawyers:

• Enhancing diversity and inclusion is a key strategic business objective.
• In 2017, the firm added its first Director of Diversity and Inclusion.
• The strategic plan includes bold and aggressive internal goals.
• These efforts are producing measurable results; Winston has had a 20% increase in the number of female partners within the past year.
• Winston’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) is the cornerstone program aimed at increasing hiring, retention and promotion of female lawyers at the firm.
• Winston’s Sponsorship Program has led to an increase in women in the partnership and in leadership positions.
• The firm’s gender diversity initiatives and achievements have earned important external recognition.

Now in their seventh year, the Chambers Women in Law Awards champion the achievements of legal practitioners from both in-house and private practice, highlighting firms and companies who are bringing about dramatic improvements in gender equality as well as women's advancement and inclusion in the legal profession.
