Winston & Strawn is ranked number 12 in The American Lawyer’s 2019 National Pro Bono Rankings, which represents a nine-spot rise from the firm’s 2018 ranking at number 21. Our international offices rose in the 2019 rankings to number seven from number 13 last year.

Further, more than 102% of the firm’s U.S. attorneys contributed at least 20 pro bono hours, resulting in the firm ranking number three for its breadth of commitment.

This chart ranks the Am Law 200 by their pro bono score for work performed by U.S.-based lawyers. Half of the score comes from the average number of pro bono hours per lawyer in 2018; the other half represents the percentage of lawyers who performed more than 20 hours of pro bono work. Calculations are based on lawyer counts as of Dec. 31, 2018.

The firm is proud to serve our deserving pro bono clients. For more information on our commitment to our communities, please visit Winston’s Pro Bono page.
