Winston Represents Vostu in Copyright Lawsuit
July 25, 2011
Winston & Strawn partner Jennifer Golinveaux was featured in the July 22 Bloomberg.com article titled "Verizon, Motorola, Fake Apple Stores, Kardashian: Intellectual Property" and the July 25 San Francisco Daily Journal article titled "Social game makers fight for turf."
Golinveaux is representing Vostu USA Inc., a gaming company, in a copyright lawsuit brought on by Zynga Inc. Zynga claimed that many elements of the Vostu computer games infringed Zynga's copyrights. In Vostu's response, Golinveaux stated that, "Zynga cannot claim copyright protection over material that Zynga did not originally create."
This case is currently in the Northern District of California.
