Winston Represents Note Purchasers in the 2021 P3 Awards “Social Infrastructure Project of the Year”

Winston & Strawn served as the note purchasers’ counsel for the winner of the 2021 P3 Awards’ “Social Infrastructure Project of the Year.”

“Social Infrastructure Project of the Year” was awarded to the Prince George’s County Public Schools Alternative Construction Financing Project. Winston represented the note purchasers in connection with the sale of approximately $479 million of senior secured notes by Prince George’s County Education & Community Partners, LLC (PGCPS) in a private placement for a project to design, build, finance, and maintain six new schools in Prince George’s County, Maryland. The Winston team included Partner Mike Pikiel, who is a co-chair of the firm’s Energy & Infrastructure Industry Group and a co-chair of the firm’s Project Finance Practice Group, and Associate Dan Shapiro.

The 2021 P3 Awards were hosted in New York City on March 23, 2022. Selected by a panel of judges that featured over 80 industry professionals from both the public and private sectors, the P3 Awards recognize the leading projects, organizations, and individuals in public-private partnerships.
