Winston Partners Speak at the 2021 Insurance Tax Conference

On November 30, Winston & Strawn Partners Jim Mastracchio and Susan Seabrook will be speaking on a panel entitled “Tax Controversy Update: Coming Soon to an IRS Audit Near You!” Susan will serve as moderator; Jim will sit on the panel alongside Brandi Hoffman, Associate General Counsel at Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America, and Mark Smith, Managing Director of PwC. 

The panel will discuss significant IRS enforcement updates, including new IRS funding, budget, staffing, and enforcement priorities. Panelists will analyze how these developments affect insurance company examinations and will identify, analyze, and discuss the technical tax issues the IRS is currently prioritizing and the administrative and procedural developments affecting insurance company examinations.
