Winston Partners Honored During the 2025 California Legal Awards

Winston & Strawn partners Jeffrey (Jeff) Steinfeld were honored during the 2025 California Legal Awards, an annual series hosted by The Recorder, ALM, and Law.com that celebrates the work and achievements of those leading technology, innovation, and the legal profession. Winners were selected by the publications’ senior editorial leaders as well as a panel of external industry experts.

Jeff received the California Legal Awards’ Lawyers on the Fast Track award. Although under 40 years old, Jeff frequently secures positive outcomes for clients as lead counsel in high-profile and bet-the-company litigation. He is hailed as “a legal rock star,” and “sought out by clients for his know-how in criminal insider trading and securities fraud” cases. Clients praise Jeff’s “ability to listen carefully and work closely with his clients to provide keen problem-solving advice in high-pressure situations reflect[ing] a maturity one would typically expect from attorneys much older than him” and emphasize that “anyone seeking serious counsel who is extremely capable in a wide variety of contexts would do well to retain his services.”

The winners were honored during an in-person award ceremony on June 25 at the Sheraton Grand in Los Angeles.
