Global Competition Review has recognized Winston & Strawn’s Antitrust/Competition Practice as “highly recommended” in New York, Illinois, and California in the 2026 GCR 100. For over two decades, GCR 100 has provided a comprehensive list of the world’s best competition practices based on a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the law firms and economic consultancies doing the most important antitrust work around the world.
GCR highlighted Winston & Strawn’s California and New York teams for key victories in high-profile cases, including securing a landmark $2.75 billion settlement for NCAA athletes and introducing a revenue-sharing model projected to deliver $20 billion over the next decade. It also recognized Winston’s representation of 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports against NASCAR for monopolizing the market for premier stock car racing which has just successfully settled in an agreement that creates the conditions for meaningful competitive and commercial growth across NASCAR, and will benefit NASCAR teams, partners, stakeholders, and—most importantly—fans “for generations to come,” according to 23XI Racing co-owner Michael Jordan.
The publication called out Winton’s win in certifying a class of swimmers in litigation against World Aquatics, as well as its defense of Microsoft in complex AI-related antitrust and patent disputes.
GCR recognized Winston’s Illinois antitrust team for its outstanding achievements, including delivering a decisive win for Enbridge by obtaining dismissal with prejudice in a monopolization suit and securing summary judgment acquittals for Claxton Poultry in major antitrust litigation.
Winston’s New York team was commended for its exceptional antitrust work in securing key victories for Hawaiian Electric Industries.
