Winston & Strawn Partners Receive 2020 ‘IP STARS’ Award

IP STARS, the world’s foremost guide on leading intellectual property firms and practitioners, releases an annual list of the best professionals in the industry. This year, several Winston & Strawn attorneys across five states and seven offices had the distinct honor of receiving that title.

California recipients include San Francisco Partner Jennifer Golinveaux and Silicon Valley Managing Partner Kathi Vidal; in Chicago,George Lombardi; from Washington, D.C., Partner Chuck Klein; from the New York office, Vice Chairman Michael Elkin; and Dallas Managing Partner Tom Melsheimer.

Each year, a group of impartial judges gathers information about thousands of candidates from firms, clients, interviews, emails, and online surveys. Potential winners are considered and chosen based on their “expertise, workload, market reputation/track record, outcomes achieved for clients, and unique strengths in a given practice area.”

Formally named ‘Managing Intellectual Property IP STARS,’ this organization has been doing in-depth research and rankings since 1996. The judging process is conducted by a team of expert research analysts and journalists in IP STARS Hong Kong, London, and New York offices.
