Winston & Strawn Antitrust/Competition Practice Recognized in 2022 GCR 100

Global Competition Review has recognized Winston & Strawn’s Antitrust/Competition Practice as “highly recommended“ in New York and Illinois, and as “recommended” in California in the 22^nd edition of the GCR 100. For over two decades, GCR’s rankings have provided a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the law firms and economic consultancies doing the most important antitrust work around the world.

The publication notes that Winston’s New York Antitrust team “hit nothing but net before the Supreme Court on behalf of a class of Division I student athletes,” referencing the unanimous ruling obtained by a Jeffrey Kessler-led team in NCAA v. Alston in June 2021.

GCR called out Winston’s Illinois Antitrust team, led by James Herbison, for its work on a variety of class actions including the Broiler Chicken antitrust litigation, Treasury Securities Auction antitrust litigation, and highlighting its merger work for GraniteOne Health.

Finally, GCR states that “litigation is the name of the game” for Winston’s California Antitrust team, highlighting the many multi-district litigations and merger challenges that the group handles for clients.
