Winston Advises on Winning Refinancing Deal for the IJInvestor Awards 2021

Winston & Strawn served as legal counsel in connection with a winning refinancing deal for the IJInvestor Awards 2021. 

The Refinancing Deal of the Year – AMERICAS was awarded to the San Antonio Vista Ridge Water Supply PPP. In connection with the transaction, Winston represented a group of institutional investors in the private placement of secured notes issued by Vista Ridge LLC and Central Texas Regional Water Supply Corporation in the “wildly successful” refinancing of the Vista Ridge Water Supply Project. The project consists of a 142-mile water transmission system that gathers and transports perpetually leased raw groundwater from Burleson County, Texas to deliver up to 53,000 acre-feet of water per year to the City of San Antonio (the City). A critical milestone in the private placement market, the Vista Ridge refinancing is lauded as the largest ever order book in the history of U.S. private placements at approximately US$6 billion.

The annual IJInvestor Awards celebrate the institutions and individuals that facilitate investments by institutional investors into operational infrastructure assets, transactions connected to those assets, and the companies investing in, managing, or advising on those assets.
