What Would Lincoln Do?
March 1, 2018
On March 1, 2018, Winston & Strawn hosted “What Would Lincoln Do?,” a one-hour presentation that traced several facets of the legal career of Abraham Lincoln, and also provided lessons applicable to today’s lawyer. The presentation addressed how to comply with and transcend some of the most important and relevant model rules of conduct, and how to get paid while doing it!
Billie Ellis, partner and award-winning lecturer and author on the history of the American law firm, postulated that one of the best role models for the contemporary lawyer was born over 200 years ago.
