What Can We Expect from Loretta Lynch?

When Loretta Lynch was confirmed in April as the 83rd attorney general of the United States and the first African-American female attorney general, onlookers posed the question whether she would follow in the footsteps and areas of emphasis of her predecessor, Eric Holder, or whether she would signal a change in national enforcement priorities and policies. Although only in her first few months in office, Lynch has already both aligned herself with some of Holder’s policies and simultaneously taken steps that suggest a change in enforcement under her leadership.
