Two ongoing cases led by Winston & Strawn partners Jeffrey Kessler, David Feher, and David Greenspan appeared on Forbes’ “Top Five Sports Law Stories For 2015,” published January 6, 2014.

The top-listed case was Jenkins v. NCAA, a landmark antitrust suit against the National College Athletic Association (NCAA) and the five NCAA “power conferences.” The case challenges under federal antitrust laws the limits the NCAA and the conferences impose on the remuneration and financial benefits that top division football and men’s basketball players are permitted to receive.

The firm also represents the NFLPA and its union member Adrian Peterson in the legal challenge to his indefinite suspension from the NFL, which the article notes may have a significant impact on whether the NFL can maintain its current system of player discipline.
