CHICAGO, IL - Winston & Strawn LLP today announced Thomas M. Dunham has joined the firm as partner in the intellectual property practice. Mr. Dunham joins the firm's Washington, D.C. office from Novak Druce + Quigg LLP where he was chair of the litigation practice group and a member of the executive committee.

"We are delighted Tom has joined the Winston team," said Tom Buchanan, Washington, D.C. managing partner. "His skills as a seasoned patent trial attorney and his extensive technical experience will add additional capacity to our already nationally recognized intellectual property practice."

Mr. Dunham focuses on patent litigation, appellate work, and related intellectual property matters. Before practicing law, Mr. Dunham was a staff engineer in General Electric Corporation's Aerospace Control Systems Division. At GE-ACSD, he developed advanced airborne control system hardware, software and systems used primarily in military and civil applications.

"I am immensely proud of Novak Druce's accomplishments in litigation over the past two years, but I am excited to join Winston's premier patent litigation group and look forward to contributing significantly to the practice," said Mr. Dunham.

Prior to his work at Novak Druce + Quigg, Mr. Dunham was a partner at Howrey, LLP.
