The Recorder Names Kathi Vidal a 2019 California Trailblazer

Managing Partner of Winston’s Silicon Valley Office Kathi Vidal has been named a 2019 California Trailblazer by The Recorder. The annual list highlights attorneys who “have made significant marks on the practice, policy, and technological advancements in their sector.”

The publication highlights Kathi’s career—she was an engineer before she practiced law—and her role as a co-leader of Winston’s Disruptive Technology Task Team, a one-stop resource for comprehensive legal advice related to disruptive technologies such as distributed ledger technology (DLT), digital currencies, artificial intelligence (AI), and the internet of things (IoT).

Recently Winston achieved a favorable settlement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that included no financial penalty for a client that completed an unregistered initial coin offering, the cryptocurrency equivalent of an IPO.
