Small Business Bankruptcy Webinar 2020

On November 19, 2020, the City Bar Justice Center, Winston & Strawn, and Charles River Associates co-hosted a webinar on bankruptcy options for small businesses that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Small businesses are an integral part of New York City’s economy. They create jobs, provide needed goods and services, and strengthen our communities. Small businesses continue to be economically impacted by COVID-19. Many have exhausted their own funds and resources and struggle with issues such as paying their rent and creditors. For small businesses struggling with debt, filing bankruptcy may provide some relief and a fresh start.

During this webinar, leading bankruptcy attorneys and financial experts addressed issues for business owners who have personally guaranteed business debt, discussed the differences between types of bankruptcy, and outlined the required steps and documents needed to file for bankruptcy relief. Small business owners had an opportunity to ask general questions during and after the presentation.
