Patrick Doerr Named Charlotte Triage’s 2025 Champion of the Year

Congratulations to Patrick Doerr for being named the Charlotte Triage Pro Bono Partnership’s Champion of the Year!

Since 2018, Charlotte Triage has brought together law firm and corporate legal department pro bono volunteers to address critical legal needs of vulnerable members of the Charlotte community. A small number of attorneys, known as “Champions,” are responsible for recruiting other volunteers and assisting in the delivery of services in key areas, such as criminal record expungement, domestic violence protective orders, housing, and healthcare.

Patrick, a Champion for the expungement track, was recently named Champion of the Year at the eighth annual Charlotte Triage Pro Bono Partnership event, which celebrates the dedicated efforts and impact of Triage volunteers. Since 2022, Patrick has served as a Champion, helping low-income North Carolina residents expunge their criminal records and improving their opportunities for employment and housing.

As part of the annual Charlotte Triage event, our Charlotte office hosted a CLE session with the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, which trained 40+ pro bono volunteers on how to read criminal records, determine eligibility, and draft petitions for expungement.
