Nicholas E. Rodriguez Discusses Trends and Transactions in Latin America M&A

On September 29, Winston & Strawn Partner Nicholas E. Rodriguez participated in Expert Webcast’s panel discussion titled “Trends and Transactions in Latin America M&A.”

The panelists answered questions from the audience and discussed geo-economic and political landscapes in the region, including trends, government reforms, deal structures, due diligence, risk mitigation, financing availability, ESG, and dispute resolution.

Nicholas commented on the strain that geopolitical and economic issues have placed on M&A activity in the region and how these adverse investment conditions have contributed to wealth migration, as Latin American investors have sought to diversify their investment portfolio by investing in, among other places, the United States and Europe. He also explained how ESG awareness has continued to gain momentum in Latin America and is expected to be a driver of M&A activity in the region.
