Nareeneh Sohbatian Named a 2019 Immigration Law Trailblazer by the NLJ

Winston & Strawn Immigration Pro Bono Supervisory Attorney Nareeneh Sohbatian is recognized as a 2019 Immigration Law Trailblazer by the National Law Journal. This inaugural list profiles attorneys who are shaping immigration legislation.

The publication recognizes Nareeneh as a trailblazer for her pro bono work in immigration law. In her role, she exclusively works on the firm’s Pro Bono Immigration Project where she oversees immigration cases nationally. The project provides Winston teams with in-house immigration expertise, internal tools to improve the efficiency and management of immigration matters, trainings, and mentorship and supervision of immigration pro bono cases.

Looking ahead, Nareeneh’s goal is to increase capacity for providing pro bono immigration services. “It would be ideal if there were more positions like mine to increase services for individuals who need them. I’m passionate about immigration work and immigration law and want to continue to work on more issues that are at the forefront and do more impactful work.”
