Winton & Strawn Partner Susan Nash will speak at the 2019 Bay Area Global Benefits Conference. This conference brings together dynamic speakers who have the passion to think big and broad, and engage with like-minded benefits professionals who can propel the future of work to provide an exceptional employee experience, while meeting the needs of the multi-generational workforce.

Susan will present on “Legal Hot Topics in Employee Benefits Design” on May 1st, which will explore innovative retirement and health benefit design features under a legal lens. This session will cover a range of topics including: direct employer-provider contracting and unique issues under California law, legal considerations for on-site clinics and telemedicine, reference based pricing and out-of-network reimbursement methodology, 401(k) matching contributions and student loan repayment, the pros and cons of 401(k) in-plan Roth conversion, and a discussion on whether outsourcing fiduciary investment fund selection duties to a 3(38) investment manager is necessary.

Susan has extensive experience working with employers, vendors, and health plans on health care strategy, design, funding and implementation of health and welfare benefit plans.
