Mike Blankenship Discusses Oil Price Volatility with Hart Energy

Winston & Strawn partner Mike Blankenship was recently quoted in a Hart Energy article featured in the 50th anniversary edition of Oil and Gas Investor. In the article Mike discussed volatility of oil prices in the energy industry, and efforts that have been taken to control prices.

“Volatility is the name of the game,” Mike told Hart Energy. “I do think that is changing, though, with the energy transition.”

Mike stated that in his opinion, the technology that will drive oil and gas and the energy transition has not been invented or, at least, perfected yet. “People didn’t know that cell phones were going to be the way we live,” Mike said. “And that people are going to become billionaires because of apps on cell phones.”
