Linda Coberly Discusses Ratifying the Equal Rights Amendment with CNN

Winston & Strawn Partner Linda Coberly was recently featured in CNN’s article “The Journey Toward the Equal Rights Amendment Began Decades Ago, but Activists Say the Finish Line Is in Sight.” The piece discusses the progression to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA).

In February 2019, Winston & Strawn joined the national ERA Coalition—a group of organizations working toward passage of the amendment. The first law firm to serve as a Coalition “Lead Organization,” Winston has been active in the campaign to ratify the ERA since 2017. After playing a role in the Illinois General Assembly’s historic ratification in 2018, the firm is continuing to dedicate time, talent, and expertise to the effort. Linda serves as Chair of the Coalition’s Legal Task Force.
