Linda Coberly Defends Equal Rights Amendment’s Feasibility in New York Times Letter to the Editor

In a letter to the editor of the New York Times, Linda Coberly—Winston & Strawn’s Chicago office managing partner and chair of the ERA Coalition’s Legal Task Force—responded to claims made by reporter Jesse Wegman regarding the current viability of the Equal Rights Amendment.

In her letter, Linda states: “What Mr. Wegman fails to mention is the ongoing bipartisan effort in Congress to remove the time limit. A resolution is pending in the Senate, and a similar one has passed twice in the House.”
