Winston & Strawn partner Larry Sher was featured this week on Washington Technology’s “WT360” national podcast, which highlights what drives the federal government market and where the sector is going through conversations with industry executives and others involved in the sector. In this podcast episode, Larry discusses how the U.S. government is putting its CHIPS Act funding to work through grants and other financial incentives and how the U.S. Department of Commerce is leveraging CHIPS Act funding to encourage more companies to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing.

Larry centers the WT360 discussion around what companies in the U.S. semiconductor supply chain need to do from a legal perspective to apply for and obtain CHIPS Act funding, how Winston’s Government Contracts team has been helping clients obtain CHIPS Act grant monies, and the many risks and rewards of becoming a federal grant recipient.
