Winston & Strawn partner Kimball Anderson was quoted in a tribute to former Winston colleague Frank Deming Kenney featured in the September 30 issue of the Chicago Tribune.

According to the article, Mr. Kenney was raised in Hyde Park and graduated from Loyola Academy. While attending the University of Chicago, he met his wife, whom he married in 1944. Mr. Kenney served as an officer in the Army's Signal Corps in the China-Burma-India theater during WWII.

After the war, Mr. Kenney completed a law degree and upon graduating from law school, worked as an associate at Winston & Strawn, where he rose quickly as a practitioner of corporate real estate law. He became a partner at the firm in 1960 and retired in the late 1980s.

"I remember Frank as a gentleman and a kind person. He was the go-to real estate partner for some of our largest corporate clients," said Kimball Anderson. Mr. Kenney, 89, died of pneumonia on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010.
