Kathi Vidal, Silicon Valley managing partner and nationally-recognized intellectual property litigator, spoke with Law360 about patent litigation trends to watch for in 2020. Kathi offered insight into the most important change to come this year in terms of patent eligibility.
“The biggest patent specific game-changer that is likely to occur in patent law in 2020 relates to Section 101 [of the Patent Act] and what is and is not considered patent-eligible. If the law evolves, it could not only impact individual cases but the marketplace for patent litigation,” Kathi explained.
