Winston & Strawn partner John Schreiber participated in The Knowledge Group’s “Fraud-on-the-Market Theory: Significant Issues and Updates for 2014 and Beyond” webinar on August 7, 2014.

Mr. Schreiber, along with other thought leaders and practitioners, discussed the latest significant issues related to the fraud-on-the-market (FOTM) theory. Key issues that were covered include:

  • An overview on the fraud-on-the-market theory

  • Latest regulatory updates
  • Guidance on how to use FOTM effectively

Mr. Schreiber is a partner in the firm’s New York and Los Angeles offices whose practice focuses on the defense of federal securities class actions, as well as M&A-related litigation, corporate governance matters, class and derivative actions, and insurance litigation. He has first-chair trial experience and has represented firm clients in a variety of industries, including commercial and investment banking, private equity, insurance, renewable energy, biotech, health care, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, and sports and entertainment.
