Fife Speaks at Institute for Advanced Corporate Counsel

Winston & Strawn Partner Joan Fife spoke at the third annual Institute for Advanced Corporate Counsel (iACC) in Burlingame, CA on April 10, 2014. Ms. Fife presented on employment issues of Bay Area concerns.

The iACC’s dual-track forum focused on advanced topics for in-house counsels who wish to develop and improve their professional and management skills. Other topics included:

• Employment issues of Bay Area concerns
• Branding and trademarking in China
• Developing strategies for reducing cyber loss risks
• Negotiation and drafting tips for complex settlement agreements

Ms. Fife is the managing partner of the San Francisco office and the head of the firm’s San Francisco labor and employment group. She represents employers throughout the country in class action employment litigation and was named in 2009 and 2010 as one of the Daily Journal’s “Top Women Litigators in California,” and in 2010-2012 as one of the “Top Labor and Employment Lawyers,” by the San Francisco Daily Journal. Ms. Fife was recently recognized as a “2013 Top Rated Lawyer” by American Lawyer Media and Martindale-Hubbell and was named to The Recorder’s list of “Women Leaders in Law 2012.”
