Joan Fife Discusses Inside and Outside Counsel at Recorder Roundtable

Winston & Strawn San Francisco managing partner Joan Fife spoke at Recorder Roundtables' Inside & Outside Counsel: Working Together in 2013. The presentation took place on December 5, 2012 in San Francisco.

During this panel, Ms. Fife addressed the ins and outs of building relationships for success in the year to come. Specifically, the panel discussed keys to a successful partnership in an environment of reduced budgets and more demands; how law firms can differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive market; and what services in-house counsel wish their law firms provided. Panelists also discussed the results of a recent Recorder survey of managing partners and in-house counsel.

Ms. Fife was joined on the panel by Michael Rhodes, chair of the litigation department at Cooley LLP in San Diego and San Francisco; Tim O'Leary, VP, Worldwide Commercial, NetApp; and Larry Denny, VP, Associate General Counsel of TiVo, Inc., incoming president, Association of Corporate Counsel, San Francisco Chapter. Greg Mitchell, editor-in-chief of the Recorder, moderated the discussion.
