Winston & Strawn partner Joan Fife, who serves as head of the firm's San Francisco labor and employment group, spoke on Law Seminars International's April 11, 2012 TeleBriefing. The presentation, "Conducting EEO Internal Investigations," discussed practical considerations for employers in light of the EEOC's new strategic plan. Specifically, the panel addressed:
- Key issues to consider when responding to EEOC investigations
- Negotiating parameters around the scope of data requested by the agency
- Repercussions of failure to cooperate
- Practical consequences of this new EEOC initiative
Ms. Fife, who will provide the management attorney's perspective, was joined by Adam A. Carter, principal of The Employment Law Group, P.C., who will provide the plaintiff's attorney's perspective, and Maria Salacuse, supervisory trial attorney at the US Equal Employment Opportunity Comm, providing the EEOC perspective.
