Jeffrey Kessler Discusses Antitrust Compliance in a Silicon Valley Culture
November 17, 2016
Winston & Strawn Antitrust/Competition Practice Chair Jeffrey Kessler spoke at the 28th Annual All Hands Meeting on November 17, 2016, in Santa Clara, California. The All Hands Meeting is a unique and multifaceted annual event tailored to the special needs of in-house professionals whose companies rely upon intellectual property. Scores of cutting-edge CLE presentations address the spectrum of legal, regulatory, and ethical issues the community faces on a daily basis.
Mr. Kessler presented “Designing Antitrust Compliance in a Silicon Valley Culture.” This presentation took a practical look at the tension between Silicon Valley’s culture and traditional antitrust compliance programs, and real-world ways to break down these “cultural” barriers, using recent cases to show how problems crop up and different approaches to antitrust compliance in organizations led by strong-willed innovators.
Mr. Kessler has been lead counsel in some of the most complex antitrust cases in the country, including major jury trials, and has represented a number of U.S. and international companies in criminal and civil investigations in the antitrust, trade, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) areas.
