Michael Wu Present Webinar on Physical Disaster Recovery/BCP Preparedness in Age of (Hyper) Focus on Cybersecurity

In a follow-up to the SEC’s OCIE September Cybersecurity Risk Alert, Partner Michael Wu presented at the first of a two-part complimentary webcast series on current regulatory requirements for hedge funds, among other asset managers/financial firms, on physical disaster recovery/BCP on November 5, 2015. The discussion/debate sought to be highly practical and business-oriented, as it brought together two hedge funds and a consultancy whose Fortune 100 clients added to a rich sharing of experiences.

Messrs. Wu was joined by Michael Herrera (CEO at MHA Consulting/BCMMetrics), William Martiner (CTO at York Capital Management), and Jeffrey Smith (CCO and Assistant General Counsel at Research Affiliates). Together they discussed best practices in minimizing regulatory risk exposure in preparing incident response plans and disaster recovery/business continuity plans. The panel also discussed the SEC’s September 22, 2015, Investor Alert “Identity Theft, Data Breaches, and Your Investment Accounts.”
