Ivan Poullaos Speaks at ACI’s Summit on Biosimilars & Innovator Biologics

Partner Ivan Poullaos spoke at the American Conference Institute’s 12^th Summit on Biosimilars & Innovator Biologics on June 23, 2021.

The virtual forum brought together in-house counsel, government officials, and leading patent and regulatory attorneys to discuss critical developments in the biosimilars and innovator biologics industries.

Ivan participated in a panel titled “The Future of Patent Thickets: Balancing Innovation and Competition in the Biologic Ecosystem” which considered the impact of UFCW Local 1500 Welfare Fund v. AbbVie Inc.—an antitrust case challenging AbbVie’s alleged patent thicket involving Humira—on the IP landscape for biologic drugs.

Ivan is a patent trial lawyer with experience in numerous technical areas. He has developed a particular concentration in pharmaceutical Hatch-Waxman and biologics infringement cases. With a degree in Chemistry, Ivan is able to take many technical cases to trial with remarkable success.
