Gus Membiela Discusses Winston & Strawn’s Miami Summer Associate Program with Daily Business Review

Winston & Strawn Partner Gus Membiela discussed the firm’s summer associate program in Miami with the Daily Business Review. In its first year of the program, the office will be hosting five summer associates.  

“The number one area for recruitment and growth is through the summer programs,” said Gus, the Winston partner in charge of this year’s Miami summer program. He also noted that although this is the first attempt at the program in Miami, it wasn’t hard to build because of the enormous interest it got from recruits.

The recruits can expect to be challenged with tasks that will help shape them in the future, Gus told the publication. “Whether it’s sitting in on meetings with opposing counsel or attending hearings, going to depositions, client calls, those type of activities, so that they’re really getting a well-rounded experience in terms of actually doing work, but also learning what it’s like to be an associate at Winston,” he said.
