George Lombardi’s Representation of Monsanto Featured in American Lawyer Litigation Supplement

Winston & Strawn partner George Lombardi's representation of Monsanto, in a patent infringement claim against DuPont, was featured in the American Lawyer Spring 2013 Litigation Supplement cover story, "Seeds of a Settlement."

The article discussed how Monsanto's $1 billion verdict against DuPont led to a $1.75 billion settlement between the two companies involving a long-term licensing deal for the next generation of Monsanto's soybean seed patents.

The $1 billion jury verdict was ranked No. 3 on The National Law Journal affiliate VerdictSearch's Top 100 Verdicts of 2012 and earned George Lombardi a "Litigator of the Week" honor and an "Intellectual Property MVP" recognition by Law360.
