GAR 100 Recognizes Winston & Strawn as a Leading Arbitration Practice
February 18, 2016
Once again, Winston & Strawn was recognized as one of the world’s leading arbitration practices in the 2016 edition of Global Arbitration Review’s GAR 100 survey.
Global Arbitration Review recognized Partner Ricardo Ugarte’s promotion to chair of Winston's International Arbitration Practice and the Paris office’s promotion of multilingual counsel Maria Kostytska to partner.
The survey highlights the team’s recent work, including its successful representation of McDonald’s International in a high-profile arbitration. Other clients referenced include Abbott Laboratories, Motorola, Philip Morris International, Symbion Power, along with engineering consultancy AMEC and U.S. manufacturer PPG.
Also mentioned is the practice’s representation of states, including Ecuador in a multi-billion dollar denial of justice claim pending at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague. Winston’s team was praised for its “dedication” and “professionalism”.
