FMA’s 2023 Securities Compliance Seminar

Winston & Strawn proudly sponsored the Financial Markets Association’s Annual Securities Compliance Seminar, where Partners Kimberly Prior and Richard Weber participated as panel moderators.

Kim discussed “The Future of Digital Assets,” covering recent bankruptcy and enforcement actions and how they affect the digital asset markets, including recent legislative and regulatory developments and forecasts for future regulation of digital assets. The session also covered how financial services companies can participate in the digital asset space and manage the associated risks.

Richard discussed “Regulatory Developments in Cybersecurity,” covering recent breaches and enforcement actions as well as lessons learned, including recent regulatory developments and best practices. Richard highlighted the importance of cyber-security for organizations and the need to protect against cyber-attacks and data breaches. Companies need to ensure strong cyber programs to protect their data and their customers’ data in this challenging regulatory environment.
