Expansion of Winston & Strawn’s Houston Office Featured in Houston Business Journal

Winston & Strawn continues to expand the Houston office, as described in the Houston Business Journal’s Houston BizBlog article, “Winston law firm plans major expansion.”

Recently recruiting John Strasburger, former managing partner of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, Winston continues to develop its local presence. Along with three other bankruptcy litigators who joined with Mr. Strasburger in October, the Houston office will nearly double by lawyer count in 12 months.

“One of the things we’re doing is really trying to make the right fit with the right people,” said Houston office managing partner. “We’re not just adding for a headcount.”

“The good part, why I think this office is a good building base, is that it didn’t start with one person from here,” said office managing partner. “It was 35 lawyers who worked together a long time, and now we’re building from us.”
