Michael Elkin, managing partner of Winston & Strawn's New York office, spoke at Brooklyn Law School on October 24. Mr. Elkin participated in the panel titled Music and Copyright: A Panel Discussion Featuring George Clinton, where he examined the challenges faced today by artists and music labels, the impact of digital technology, and reforms that can benefit the listening public. Joining Mr. Elkin were George Clinton, the mastermind of the bands Parliament and Funkadelic, which were prominent during the 1970s and early 1980s; and Jason Mazzone, Gerald Baylin Professor of Law who teaches intellectual property law and constitutional law.
