Dan Webb Named a White Collar Crime Trailblazer by The National Law Journal
December 21, 2015
Winston & Strawn Co-Chairman Dan Webb is recognized in The National Law Journal’s premiere issue of White Collar Crime Trailblazers. The issue profiles 50 attorneys who are making a difference in white collar criminal litigation.
The profile describes how Mr. Webb always knew he wanted to be a trial lawyer and his work as a federal prosecutor with the U.S. Attorney’s office.
Mr. Webb attributes some of his biggest accomplishments to being unrelenting and aggressively advocating for his clients’ positions from the moment he is retained to the moment an investigation or litigation concludes.
Mr. Webb also weighs in on what the future of white collar criminal law may hold. The effect of the Yates memo on individual prosecutions and issues of privilege in internal investigations are of interest to him. He recognizes this as a sign that the Department of Justice intends to dedicate more resources to individual prosecutions.
