Dan Webb Discusses Handling Ethical Issues in Jury Trials

Winston & Strawn chairman Dan Webb spoke at Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) Trial by Jury 2014 on November 19. This presentation featured state and federal judges, as well as many distinguished litigators. Attendees discovered tactics for successfully handling jury trials, such as:

• Avoiding ethical pitfalls and making ethical decisions
• Preparing a witness without coaching
• Dealing with a witness whose story changes or conflicts with other evidence
• Issues involved with using jury consultants and investigating jurors

Dan Webb has tried more than 100 jury cases, including numerous successful complex commercial and white-collar criminal trials, representing, on several occasions, large corporations in jury trials lasting two months or longer.
