Winston & Strawn chairman Dan Webb was quoted in various media sources, including Bloomberg News, Thomson Reuters and the Associated Press, regarding his representation of Dr. Arvind Ahuja. Ahuja, a neurosurgeon, was indicted by a federal grand jury on nine-counts alleging that he willfully filed materially false tax returns, failed to file Reports of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts, and most recently, conspired to defraud the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

In response to these allegations, Mr. Webb stated that Ahuja is innocent. "Dr. Ahuja has always worked scrupulously, with a team of professional financial advisers and accountants, to pay all taxes and interest he owes and follow all applicable state and federal tax laws and regulations. He is a man of strong principles and character who respects and obeys the law."

Mr. Webb also commented that the government's allegations are "far off-base" and that he will continue to present a vigorous, fact-based defense.
